Boykoff has written on a wide range of activist groups, including the Black Panther Party, the Tea Party Movement, the Global Justice Movement, and Anti-Olympics protest.
Boykoff is the author of three full-length poetry collections and numerous chapbooks.
Boykoff played professional soccer, represented the U.S. Olympic soccer team, and played collegiality for the University of Portland.
Boykoff’s research on media coverage of climate change was featured in Al Gore’s book and film “An Inconvenient Truth.” He was a guest speaker at the 2006 UN Climate Change Conference in Nairobi.
